WOW! It’s been almost a whole month since I have updated my site. Sorry for the delay guys. Working my second job has caused me to have to structure my schedule a little more to make room for making sure I get my site updated and post my podcast on schedule. I hope everyone enjoyed my Podcast. I have gotten a lot of great feedback. So thanks to everyone for that. Keep the feedback coming. This past weekend I was hired to take some pics of a birthday party of co worker of mine. Her son was turning 1. An event of course. You only turn 1, well ONCE! So that made me start thinking of my birthday.

My birthday is a special one, and one with a huge reference for the Japan peeps out there. My birthday is on December 23rd, and if you are a Japan obsessed person like myself you also know that is the emperor’s birthday! I will be 27 this year and I can’t help to think, “Man where has the time gone?” Especially the last decade. It seems just like yesterday I was graduating from high school. I’m sure a lot of you guys feel that way. My parents were right when they said after you turn 21 its all down hill, and a blur from then on out ha ha. BUT! Unlike a lot of my fellow 20 something peers, I don’t feel old, or depressed that I’m knockin’ on 30’s door. I feel younger than ever actually and love my life, and regret nothing. I am actually looking forward to getting old. There are people everywhere that their lives are cut short by disease, accidents, and other things out of our control. So I actually feel lucky that the universe, the circle of life as it were is letting me live another day, hell another year! So hats off to freaking the universe!

So now that I have totally bored you with my rant on aging, I will get to another matter at hand. What’s coming up for the site, youtube, and more!? Well a lot. Which is why I need to have more structure. I have another Podcast in the works. The next episode will be more in depth about JET and working in Japan. So I hope you all tune in for that. Also I am gathering my links so that I can properly update my links page. So yeah busy busy busy. I have been so busy in fact I have missed two YouTube colabs with some peeps. Which I’m gonna be honest sucks. Maybe I will do one I dunno.

Well that’s all from me for now. Hopefully it won’t be almost another month before I update again. Until next time! じゃね！
KP OUT!

Making Memories @ Thanksgiving.

AHHH Thanksgiving. That time of year that you actually don’t mind over stuffing yourself and falling into a coma. What I like about Thanksgiving though, is the stories I hear being told by the elder family members. Even stories from some of the family members my age.
Today thought, I caught up with my step grandfather that I haven’t seen in a really long time. I told my grandfather my mission to go to Japan and teach english. He was really intrigued by this and proceeded to tell me a story about his first and only day/night he spent in Tokyo. He began to tell me how when he was coming home from the Korean War, they had to stop in Tokyo due to some delays. He was put in a limo and hauled all around Tokyo and was put up in a hotel. He said he felt like a pro golfer (he loves golf btw), and all he had was a suit and a small suitcase. He also told me how beautiful the city was then. I told him that I think that still holds true. He also told me how his oldest son went to Japan and loved it so much decided to stay and teach english. I thought that was funny. I told him I completely understand how someone can come to Japan and get so captivated in its beauty and awesomeness that they would want to stay. He also told me that when his son was there, and after he had gotten married to a Japanese woman, the government at the time was putting a limit on how many children they could have, for they were concerned about over population. I thought this was also funny as well, as I proceeded to tell him that now, its the other way around; that Japan was worried about its declining population. We talked for more than an hour or so about Japan, and how I wanted to travel the world more.
He also told me more stories about the incredible places he traveled to like Taiwan, Korean (of course), Bali, Okinawa, and more I’m sure. He didn’t go through them all, but quite a bit. Funny story about Bali. He said he was in Taiwan and they asked him how long it would take him to fill up his plane to make a trip to Bali. He said at first he wasn’t sure about going and really didn’t want to. So his officer said their will be topless women there! He said “When do I leave?” ha ha I was like GRANDPA! lol He continued in saying once he got there the only topless woman he saw was an 80 year old lady. My grandfather was in his 20’s at the time. I’m sure it was a sight, both crazy and traumatizing lol. But, that’s what I LOVE about thanksgiving. Maybe you see these people all the time, or sometimes or occasionally. NO matter, you always get an incredible story and memory you walk away with. And today this one was mine. This also makes me appreciate the time I have with him, as he is now in his 70’s. I unfortunately see him occasionally. I think now I am going to make it appoint to see him often. He was a photographer in the war, and its funny that I love photography the way I do. You never know how much you have in common with someone until you just take the time and chance to sit down and talk to them, and pick their brain. I’m glad I picked at his today.

This past couple of weeks has been a crazy world wind. First I got my second job at the Blue Zoo (Walmart) and been working non stop there, and then just yesterday I finally got my JET confirmation letter. So its basically taken a whole month to get my JET confirmation letter! Its okay though because now I know they have officially gotten it and its being or has been processed. Now I just have to wait like 2 more months to see if I even get an interview.
Also just a quick note I was looking at my site on my windows notebook and it doesn’t look as awesome as it does on a MAC and not really sure why or how to fix that. So for those that are running windows I’m sorry if the site looks weird or like shiz. I don’t know really how to fix that to make it look like it does if you look at on a MAC. But I hope you enjoy the site anyway.
So I feel bad to my peeps out there because I have promised a podcast and new videos and I haven’t yet to fulfill that promise. So I will make a new promise that I will try to get on this wagon and get some things did! I am currently on my first of three days of my staycation and so I really plan to get a ton of shiz done.
I thought this was going to be a long arse blog but I guess not. I just wanted to keep you guys up today on what is going on with JET and I would like to hear from you guys as well that are going out for JET. Have you received your letters yet? Did you miss it? Let me know.
Again, I want to thank everyone who has visited my site and taken the time to help me by providing feedback. It really has helped me improve the site. So good luck to all the JET hopeful out there and for everyone HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

It has really helped. I have a day off tomorrow (wed 11/11/09) and so I will be working a lot on the site and the podcast. I am so excited for this podcast. I know it will start off slow and will probably be boring at first, but I hope to offer a lot of cool information about Japan, JET, and maybe some of my everyday adventures.
I also am working on the last of my Japan trip videos. I also am shooting video on the goodies I got. Some interesting, some awesome, all around kick arse! I think you guys will enjoy.
In other news I finally got a second job at your local (well maybe not your local) friendly Wal-Mart, or as I like to call it; “The Blue Zoo.” Hey I gotta save some dough somehow and the nearest Apple Store is like a hour away soooo, yeah that wasn’t going to work. So hopefully I can start saving so frog skins. That and I have a growing list of Techy, geeky things I want and don’t need. Plus thinking about JET. Gotta have the chedda to go over there, if I get accepted. And if I don’t use the money to pay off my ride.
And last but not least JET. We all know the deadline is creeping up on us and we don’t want to miss out. I did last year and it was a serious buzz kill. Good luck to all those that are applying, I think they should put that you must have nerves of steel to apply because we make you wait for like 100 years. I hope to see all the people I have talked to in Tokyo.
Well that is it for me and my rambling. Thanks again to all the site visitors, your comments and suggestions have been really helpful.
Until next time, keep it real, fresh and chill!!

I think I will post on blogger to just in case we have issues. So this is my new site, and I hope everyone likes it. I have spent SOOO much time on it so that I can make it right. Everything is not complete yet, but most of it is so you should be able to navigate the site without any problems. I hope to keep this blog updated more so than my blogger account due to it being easier to update. Blogger is not a bad site, but sometimes it just seems so crazy to update.
So if you don’t mind make sure the site is working. If you have any problems with any links or anything like that let me know, I will fix them as soon as I can. Let me know of any suggestions too.
As most of you know I am also going for the J.E.T. program. I haven’t heard of anything as of late, but I promise when I know you will know! Well I think that is doing be it for me. I don’t really know what else to say. I just hope you enjoy my site and my hard work. I did it for my homies! lol
